Pockets and Blooms bonus card

As I promised the attendees from my class, a few extra projects will be posted using "pockets and blooms". . . and here is one. A tri-fold card from the pockets and pieces assortment.

The rubons are from A Perfect Day (Occasions Mini) as well as the Spring Picnic Designer Series Paper. (Which I love!) The hodgepodge closure is Antique Brass.

I ran the dsp along the full length of the card on the outside. . .

The image is from Tart and Tangy to match the paper. The little insert comes out, and has a white panel along the back. . .I may or may not stamp a sentiment behind the panel. I am going to leave it how it is, until I decide who will receive it and for what reason!

My poor baby is *not* well today, so I am off to play nurse. She is such a good girl, even when she isn't able to keep anything down :(

Not like her daddy, who can be the biggest baby when he doesn't feel well!

(Don't tell him I said that. . . .)

Actually, he will probably read this in a month when he comes to my blog for some reason (which doesn't happen very often) and give me grief.

But that's what husbands are for, right!

This is so cute! How on earth did you make it?

Hi y'all :)

Allison, there is pretty much *nothing* to making this as long as you have the supplies! All Stampin' Up as per usual . . .

The card is from the pockets and pieces assortment pack, the little closure is from the antique brass hodgepodge tin, the stamps are tart and tangy, and the rub-on "hi" sentiment is from "a perfect day" rubons in the Occasions mini!

It went together super fast, as the pockets and pieces are die cut. Just use a little sticky strip for the little pocket, stamp and punch out your image/layer (I used the 1 3/8 and scallop circle punch, with a little brad and some red grograin) . . .cut and adhere the strip of Designer series paper (summer picnic), smack the rub-on on the front and add the little closure.

When I add a little swinging closure like that one, I hold it up to the card where I want it to be-then mark it with a pen/pencil (where the brad will go). At that point you can just pierce it with your piercing tool (my prefered method) or if your handheld 1/16 punch will reach you could use that. . .

If you have any specific questions, or would like to order any of these supplies-email me at robinlea_ at hotmail dotcom :)

Hope that helps!
