Another one. . . .

This next one is for the same swap, second group. I really didn't know what I wanted to do with it when I sat down. Just something with eggplant and celery. Love those two together. Thank heaven that there was a current ribbon to use on this one! I would have started twitching otherwise. . .

This set is fun to use! There is a bit of a learning curve, but once you get the hang of it. . .cute stuff! Just mount the tip of your petal right on the end of the block. You will be able to see right where it belongs when stamping around your flower. Deets:

Stamps: Pick a Petal, Hugs and Wishes; Ink:C.Celery, E.Eggplant; Paper: C.Celery, E.Eggplant, W.White; Other Stuff: E.Eggplant 1/4in. grograin, paper piercer, ticket corner punch, stapler; Technique: Rock~n~Roll

This is one of the cards we will be making at my stamp camp on the 10th! Unless I come up with something else I like more. . .I get to decide, right! Part of the fun to be me :)

A resounding thankyouthankyouthankyou to my pal Jen, who answered the call "I don't think I can get these done!!!! I need help, please say you will come over!" or something equally desperate :) You are the best!

Stampin' Boot Camp today!

Things have been crazy lately. . .as most of you know if you speak to me regularly! I feel like I am always running from one place to another :) My choice, doing things I love to do (aside from the mindless errands that everyone has to do) that make my life hectic. Today, however, my good friend (who happens to be my upline) and I got to stamp! Granted it was on a deadline. . . .but who cares!

This card is for an upcoming swap I am participating in, hosted by Crystal, for cards only using current stamp sets in the new catalog. It is a larger version of a 3x3 card I made for my hostesses. Here are the deets:

Paper:Choc.Chip, S.Saffron,V.Vanilla; Ink: C.Chip, S.Saffron; Stamps: Baroque Motifs; Other Stuff: Oval punches, Hodgepodge

In case you were thinking of trying to dye 1/4 in. grograin with your Chocolate Chip reinker. . . don't. I thought I would give it a go, as Choc. Chip 1/4 inch isn't in the new catalog & I *really* wanted some chocolate chip ribbon on this card! Twenty drops of reinker later. . . BEAUTIFUL. . . . purple ribbon. Just don't. It will be frustrating if you do! I need to get some of the new Choc. Chip ribbon forthwith! (so I am not tempted to try that again. . . .darn it. . .I just wanted a bit of brown frippery. Is that so much to ask??

*******UPDATE**************
Thanks to the kind advice of someone who actually read my post (yay!), I have been instructed in the dying of ribbon. . . .if you want to dye 1/4in. grograin with a chocolate chip reinker, use burgundy ribbon! Why I never thought to do this is a mystery, as it makes perfect sense. (okay, so maybe that is why :) Thank you to Sara West from SCS for the instruction. (I tried to link to your SCS gallery. . .but you don't have one! Get some cards on there girl!)

Wednesday

THEY ARE HERE. . . .FINALLY!

Okay, I know it isn't the first yet. . .but it seems as if I have been waiting forever :)

I must say, I love the catalog. I was prepared to grumble about this or that, but I really love it! It is beautiful, and the layout is so user-friendly. Also, all the ideas running along the bottom that so many people don't think of. . .great inspiration to try something new!

If you pre-ordered a catalog, please contact me and make arrangements to pick it up! I would love to get this to you right away so you can soak it all in :)

Another sample from the Hostess party

using one of the new sets from the Fall/Winter Collection! I love the bright new In Colors :)
This reminds me of my MeadowBrites in the front yard. . .They are like Echinaeca (purple cone flower) but orange and yellow.
I have lots of reorganization to do in my stamp space today! If I get things done, maybe I will take pictures so you can see my progress. . .That should be just enough of a motivator :) Then on to my swaps! Two sets of fifteen to finish up by July 1st. . .What am I doing sitting here?
Later,

I am going to try and get some more sneek peeks and get them on here! I am leaving for lansing in a bit, so I won't have time to call anyone before I go. If there is someone who doesn't have email (this means you HUD!) call them for me please-o-please! That is of course, if you think they would be interested ;)

Just so you know, comments on my blog are welcome and appreciated! I like to know that there is someone reading this, to motivate me to keep it updated. Just a note if you have time :)

Hi girls :)

My Hostess appreciation party was a success! Thanks to all who came and had fun. Here is a picture of the accordian scrapbook we made together. We also made 7 3x3 cards, some using the new sets available on July 1st~as seen in the fall-winter preview I had sent to my ladies.

I will not be posting the details of the projects, as the projects from the hostess party are exclusive! You can figure it out probably, but if you want to make them with me. . .you must be a hostess :) Like that will be a trial! I do all the work, you make a project and get hostess benefits. Someone save you from such a terrible fate!

Aside from that, I gave away the farm. Everyone walked away from that party with a stamp set or scrapping kit, plus all the projects we made! There were three prizes in the raffle. Grand Prize-a basket including Basket Full of fun (06-07 level three hostess set), a palette o'prints sampler pad, chipboard, long notes, dimensionals, two complete kits to make the scrapbook we made at the party (congratulations Lori!), and there may have been more but I can't remember (I may be blocking it out so I don't feel faint!). I also gave away Love It (level 2 hostess) with the matching embossing template, and Mon Ami (level three hostess). . . all of which are no longer available as of July 1st!

My next hostess appreciation party will be in early January, for hostess who have a party in July-December with the new catalog. People who participate in my hostess clubs are also eligible to come, so keep that in mind!
I am off to clean up my stamp table. . . what a mess!

Tuesday

Hostess Appreciation!

Girls, you know I luuuuuv you :)

Seriously, I had no idea how much I was going to enjoy being a Stampin' Up! Demo! I don't think it would have been the same if I didn't have such a great group of ladies supporting me. Right from the beginning it has been a whirlwind of fun classes and great times! I am thankful for each and every one of you.

Then there are all the awesome people I have met! I am so lucky :) Who knew there were all these ladies just out there being their awesome selves! I can't believe how great it has been meeting new people and having fun making cards. Now if I can just convince my husband of how great stamping is-life will be perfect. . .Okay, enough of the *cheeze* fest :)

I guess what got me on this subject is that I need to plan my projects for my "Hostess Appreciation" party. I want to do some AWESOME stuff for my peeps. I have my camping trip this weekend, and then I will be brainstorming some seriously *knock your socks off* projects for my hostesses :)

I had the greatest time at my card class tonight. I love stamping!

pursealicious

Okay, this purse is cute! I made this for my hodgepodge hardware class, and also used it to swap with some demonstrators. The template was shared by Julie Ebersole in the demonstrator forums on Splitcoaststampers.

Deets: Stamps:Doodle This; Paper: Bordering blue, Kraft; Ink: Timber Brown Stazon; Other stuff: WWCrayons, Signo Gel Pen, Earth Elements Buttons, Hodgepodge, Paper Piercing Template, Gingham ribbon, Coluzzle.

I saw this photo prop idea on someone's blog (thanks to whoever you are. . I can't remember! :) using a frog (a tool for flower arranging) to prop up your card. I have lots of those! Very good idea! Multiple uses for something I already own is always a good thing.

My Stamp Camp class starts at 6pm, so I need to get prepared and packed. Later :)
