Friday

Pun Fun again. . .

This class not only revolved around the stamp set. . .

but bright colors, and designer papers! How fun is that?!

I decided (after they completely changed our DP in this last catalog) that I am not going to wait for "the perfect moment" to drag out all my splendiforous paper. Use it Baby!!!

and all that smokin' hot ribbon I have on my table??? Usin' it! *Including* the Ribbon Originals (don't freak out. . .it doesn't hurt!) as seen on my Latte card in a previous post. . .

Note to those demos who may have a class on a similar, or the same, stamp set. . .get extra blender pens! 8 stations and three blender pens will *not* work. Believe me :) Of course, I am probably the only person who wouldn't think of that when placing the order. . .Thank heaven for friends and my upline being two blocks away! And Stazon ink pads. . .get some extras :)

Trust me.

Wednesday

Pockets and Blooms class projects

Having some fun with new stuff!
These are a couple of samples from my upcoming class "Pockets and Blooms"

We are going to make some way cute projects using the Pockets and Pieces assortment and the Die Cut Blooms assortment ( I will post a link as soon as the Occasions mini is online!)--Both of which you will get to keep!

If you check out Pockets and Pieces in the catalog, you will see that there are two of every sheet--make a second set at home! There are so many die cuts in the Blooms assortment also, you will have tons left for way cute projects at home!

Daddy's Girl with the Fab Fingernails

My daughter went to the "princess ball" last weekend. . .

It was entirely fun to dress her up! We don't usually do "fancy" so it was a fun time for mom.

But wait. . . what is that on that *adorable* child's fingernails???
Could it be???

Why yes it is! Stampin' Up! rub-ons!

And there is Dad. . .all spiffed up for the occasion :)

awwww. . .

Then one "after the party" shot. . .

Little girls are hard on Up-Do's :) Thanks so much, Nikki, for doing her hair all fancified! She looked GOJUS! (yes. . .I love JanTink, too. Don't we all??? :)

btw. . .I used the rubon little bitty flower strips from the bulk buy package. . .they were the only ones on my sheets that were small enough. I haven't got them *all* tho'. . . yet :)

Isn't this stamp set just so cute!
This is one of the cards we made at my class on Saturday. . .We had fun, didn't we girls :)

Crystal Effects was used on the coffee, and later I put it on the hearts also . . .because I could :)

That is Beachfront ribbon, in case you were wondering. . .Fall Flowers Designer Paper, Soft Sky and Close to Cocoa paper, and the coluzzle/corner rounder to make the scalloped circle layer behind the image. If you need to know how to do this, please leave a comment. . .I will be happy to elaborate!

The next couple of posts will include some class samples from some of my March classes coming. . . .as well as an adorable update/shameless plug for our rubons combo. You won't want to miss it ;)

Tuesday

Mianne's Hostess Gift

I am not usually so prepared . . .

The majority of the time, I am working feverishly in the 48 hours before a workshop, to prepare crazy cute things to give away. . . my upline believes (I am undecided) that I work well under that type of pressure!

Therefore, it is no small miracle that I have this done for my March 1st Hostess!

Hallelujah!

This uses Ginger Blossom Designer paper, and the stamp set "Embrace Life". I have a handful of these tins on hand, and plan on making a tin for each of my in-home workshop hostesses for the next month or two. . .Let me know if you want one!

To cover the lid, I traced the lid on the DP and on Whisper White. Cut them both out, then use your corner rounder punch to make the scallop. That also exposes the DP on the bottom of the lid. Clear as mud? Let me know if there is anything else I can clarify. . .

Now I will totally change channels here. . . and share a few things that I am enjoying today:

This is my daughters Valentine's Bouquet. . .isn't it still so pretty! I love fun airy flowers for little girls. I think they are much more appropriate than roses, for whatever reason.

This photo is ridiculously large, and for that I apologize. . . but this stuff is so good!

It a new thing for spring, and has a cute bunny on the bottle. . .and it is so good! A must try if you are a "cream in your coffee" kinda girl. **insert me raising my hand with enthusiasm**

You should try it. . .

Monday

Hostess Club for February

I usually don't post projects before the club date. . .but these pictures are burning up my computer wanting to get out :)

Okay. . . .I *love* this! But of course, by now you know I am sooo into this paper :)

There are two color combos to choose from, as there isn't enough DP for all to do the same. (See how I can share?! Even my beloved Bali Breeze :)

And my build-a-brads. . .with rub-ons. This uses my new set "Enjoy Every Moment", with which I am loving!

What did I do before there was Pumpkin Pie striped ribbon???

We are using the template developed by Corinne Somerville, that can be found *here*

And these are my valentine roses that still look fantabulous. . .from my main squeeze :)

Next up is a hostess gift for my March 1st hostess, and a new sample from a class I am planning. . . hope you can visit again soon.

Go make a brag book!

I figured, since I use this information all the time. . .you might want to have it also! Hope this helps with your project coordination. It helps when you are ordering also, if you would like accents to match your papers. Love SU no-brainer coordination!

If you have yet to receive your Occasions Mini, you will get it soon! (That is if you are on my current customer list of course :) If you do not get my mailings, and you are a current customer of mine, please let me know!

edited to add: The list of colors for SU! DP's is a guide, not an end all! ex: I happen to prefer Tempting Turquoise with Bali Breeze, rather than Taken with Teal. . .The list is a starting place. Get a sheet of paper out, and see what you think! I will get three or so out, and see what I like. . .maybe switch one out for a more preferred color. . .hth :)

Saturday

Today is a good day. . .

A *very* good day!

One of my favorite things is opening big boxes. . .that are for me instead of for a workshop! WooT!

Look at those beeeautiful ladies! And the new sentiments, (*hopping around*) and the new wheels, and the new hodgepodge, and the new accents and elements, and the new ribbon,

(gasp)

and the new papers . . .

and the new notes. . . .

and the new rub-ons! Life is good, baby!

And speaking of rub-ons. . . I did manage to get quite a few SAB sets with this order (shocker :), including four sets of rub-ons. *However* . . .all four sets of rub-ons had the same defect:

can you see it???

~ l ve ~

This one was missing the o entirely! On the other three, it was broken up, and in a couple of cases almost looked more like a funky u!

I called Demonstrator support. . .and told them I would be happy to send these back so I could have ones intact. . .and they are sending me four new packages. And I get to keep these ones!

Wha?

I said "are you sure??"

I haven't opened them to check yet, but hopefully the three other sheets are perfectly fine! and every other image on the first sheet is perfectly fine. . .I just had issues with accepting four damaged rub-on packages right out of the box. I didn't expect to get all those extras! I am thinking a class is coming on these babies. . .

SU! Rawks :)

Thursday

How kewl is that?!?!

Thanks so much to Jana, Erin and Kathy so much for thinking my blog is "excellent"! (check out their blogs to see some excellent SU projects)

So many excellent blogs out there, and most of them have already been nominated. . .so I don't know who to pass this on to :)

But hey. . .Thanks again!

Wednesday

Awww. . .my Sweetie

a.k.a:
Stinker
Tootie McFloofer (don't ask. . .)
Pumpkin Pie

Here she is, working diligently on her valentines to give out to friends at school

Who knew she was such a wizard with a gel pen??? Not I. Nor do I know how she ended up a leftie. . .Not a leftie in the bunch as far as I know.

Here are the finished pencil cases:

We used this way cute sample/template designed by Laurie Schmidlin. Thanks, Laurie!

The part I *really* wish I had a picture of, is the white gel ink on the end of her nose and all over her hands when she was finished! I was too quick with the wipes--I will have to come up with another gel pen project soon.

We made these cards with her classmates:

Just decoupage with watered down elmers glue and tissue paper. . .we will be stamping the sentiment today in class. (Thanks for all your help yesterday, Katrine!)

There was some serious paper curling going on as they were drying, hence the staple "kisses" in the corners.

These are gift buckets for her teachers, the principal and the secretary:

Everything not SU! on these buckets was purchased at Wal-Mart.

And then last night. . .she says "What about Mrs. Johnston, Mom?"

And I say, "Mrs. Johnston is the fifth/sixth grade teacher honey. . .the kids in her class will get her something nice."

Oh, who am I kidding? I wouldn't want to discourage generosity, right??

I made these for the other teachers in her school. Just so Regan would have something to give them. . .nothing too involved. . . on occasion I can restrain myself. Rare occasions :)

Can I just make a card now?

Tuesday

There's that Darn paper again :)

I just can't help myself from using this paper!

I made a little band-aid tin for a birthday girl. . .
She just turned two!

So of course I used about a half bottle of Tombo Multi Glue. . .and Fray Check on the ends of all the ribbon. (Which worked beautifully, btw)

Don't freak out when you first put it on there, as it looks really wet. I tried to use *very* little. . .but on one particular end. . . .weeeellllll. . .lets just say it crawled up at least 1/4in! I was a bit worried (okay, so I was freaking out. . .the tin was finished and I thought I wrecked it), but it dried completely clear and I couldn't even tell I had put it on there! WooT!

Hopefully it will last a while. She is two, so lets not hold our breath on that one. Either way, I had fun making it for her! I also have a special order for a bigger one. Her sister will be having her birthday next month. . .as she is a "big sister" she *must* have a bigger tin, right??

It's the rules.

(I am trying to learn said rules, as I will soon have a "big" and a "little" -- Yay :)

On a side note, a couple of princesses made a guest appearance. . .

How old do you have to be to work at Disney, anyway???

Later :)

I thought I should mention. . . If you have previously attempted to leave me a comment, to no avail. . .please try again!!! I didn't realize I had my settings restricted. Sorry if that was confusing!

And here I thought you just didn't like me. . .

Thanks, Britta, for bringing that to my attention!

RUBBER STAMP WARNING !!!

A recent study indicated that rubber stamps and
embossing powders give off certain pheromones that
actually hypnotize women and cause them to purchase
unreasonable amounts.

When stored in large quantities in enclosed spaces ,
the pheromones ( Rubber ) cause memory loss and induce
the nesting syndrome ( similar to the one squirrels
have before the onset of winter i.e. storing food ),
therefore perpetuating their species.

Sound tests have also revealed that the rubber emits a
very high pitched sound, heard only by a select few, a
breed of women known as " Rubber Stampers ". When
played backwards on an LP , the sounds are heard as
chants, " buy me, stamp me. emboss me ".

Studies have also indicated that aliens have
inhabitated the earth, helping to spread the effects
that these Stamps have on the human population.

It's also been experienced that these same pheromones
cause a pathological need to hide these Stamp
purchases when taken home ( or at least blend them
into the existing stash ), and when asked by a
significant other if the stamp is new , the reply is:
"I've had it for a while."

Okay, so it didn't come from the surgeon general ( I found this little blurb on Splitcoast-see the link on the left sidebar). . .but based on the size of the order I placed today, I would be willing to bet that there is truth to this!

At any rate. . .it made me laugh :) and I wanted to share!

(or at least that is what I am going to tell my husband. . . !)

Scrappin' the easy way. . . .

This is part of the reason I wanted to know what I was having :)
I am so excited to have a cutsie baby book ready to plug pictures in when my littlest girl gets here :) I am making two of these-one is a gift for a friend. . .

Of course I have to make one for Regan, too:
I am trying to work out a class for this, so let me know if you would be interested in making a book with me. (it wouldn't have to be a baby book/girl book, so no need to be prego or have daughters only to take the class!)
Here is another page element from my fledgling book. . .
These scrapbooking kits make it seriously easy! I have tons of little "things" from the kits to add once I put the pictures in. I made a ton of pages! They don't look like they went together as quickly as they did--Or at least they don't to me :) I could be wrong!
(Please don't tell me if I am, I really like these!)

Have an awesome day. . . and wish me luck getting these books finished!

Thursday

Have you eaten these???

If you haven't tried the strawberry malt whoppers yet. . .*run* to the store and buy them!I bought them thinking, "my daughter loves strawberry anything. . .I will get her these."
And then my husband and I ate half the box :) He hates it when I bring home things he can't resist! We are talking *major* sweet tooth. . .good thing he has an overabundance of willpower.
I can't say I have the same affliction!

Anyhoo, this is the door prize for the Valentine's Day Bundle class. . . Congratulations Mary :) Even tho' you left it behind, I promise I won't eat *all* the little treats. . . Kidding! I have another box in my stampin' spot. For door prizes, of course. . .

Deets: Stamps: Happy Heart Day; Ink: Black Stazon, Rose Red, Groovy Guava, Creamy Caramel; Paper: Ginger Blossom DP, Rose Red, Whisper White; Other stuff: scallop punch, 1 3/8 punch, 1 1/4 punch, linen thread, whisper white 1/4in grograin, blender pens, dimensionals, frappuccino bottle.

FYI: If you use stazon cleaner on the black ink they use to print the expiration date. . . it comes right off! Maybe everyone already knows this, but I was happy to see it wipe right off with a tissue. . .

Happy Heart Day :)

This stamp set is so sweet! It was nice to have a class with the bundle, so everyone could take home a bunch of ribbon and goodies with their samples. . .I haven't stamped in white stazon since *last* valentines day. . .so it was fun to revisit that! I am going to crank a bunch of treats out for my daughter's kindergarten class. However, I will not be tying the ribbon in this fashion when I am doing it! You almost need an extra set of hands :)
This was fun, girls! Thanks for coming out :) I will be posting the door prize next (hopefully!) so keep your eyes peeled for that.

Deets: Happy Heart Day bundle supplies. . .plus Regal Rose, Real Red, and Whisper White paper; white stazon, pink gingham, dazzling diamonds, white gel pen and mat pack/piercer
